4 Healthy Snack Ideas For When You Have a Sweet Craving

Since I have been learning how to love my body journey, its become even more important to me that I fill my body with things that are good for me. I wouldn’t say that I have a sweet tooth, I think I sit in-between being a savoury and a sweet person. But some days you just get that sweet craving and want something sweet to help relieve it.

I have been researching and trying myself some recipes with fruit to try and help combat my sweet cravings. And boy are they sooo good, I knew I just had to share! So lets get started!

FROZEN YOGURT BARK

I first saw this recipe on Tik Tok and knew I had to give it a try. It only involves 2 or 3 ingredients. The main one of course being yogurt, then your choice of fruit – could be strawberries, bananas or blueberries. Theres really no right or wrong. The last ingredient is optional, you can add granola to the top of the yogurt to give it a little bit of crunch.

I will be posting the recipe but I’ll explain how its done. First all you need to do is a get a tray or a pan that can fit into your freezer. Line it with a baking sheet and spread your choice of yogurt onto it. You need to make sure that the yogurt is spread evenly. Add your choice of fruit onto the top along with granola if you want to! Freezer for 2-3 hours. Once frozen, break into slices and enjoy! Full recipe here.

FROZEN GRAPES

I’m not sure where or how I discovered this, I think it was recommended from a friend. It’s really simple, frozen grapes. They are perfect for the summer and a great snack idea. Because they are frozen its almost like eating grape sorbet which is amazing! All you need is a punnet of grapes, wash and take them from the stalks and put them into a container or a sandwich bag. Leave in the freezer for 3-4 hours and then enjoy!

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA BITES

I have yet to try these, but they look so delicious! I knew I had to add them into this post. All you need to do is, chop up a banana or two into rounds. Smear your choice of peanut butter (to make them even healthier you could try using alternative and organic nut butters) in the middle of 2 banana rounds. Melt some dark chocolate either in the microwave or on a stove top and dip one side (or all of it) into the dark chocolate. Put onto a tray lined with baking paper and put into the freezer to go hard.

If you try these, please let me know how they are! Im getting the ingredients as we speak! Full recipe here.

BANANA “ICE-CREAM”

All you need is one ingredient… BANANA. Yes, you can make ice cream with one ingredient! I discovered this years and years ago, and although I haven’t had it in a long time I really enjoy it when I do. All you need to do is slice up some bananas into rounds, place onto a tray lined with baking paper and put into the freezer for 2-3 hours. Once the bananas have frozen, remove them from the tray and into a mixing bowl. Then using an electric whisk to whisk up the bananas. As you whisk they start to thaw a little which will give you a consistency of ice cream. Add your favourite toppings such as nuts or peanut butter, or just have it as is! Full recipe is here.

  2. Your yogurt bark reminds me of frozen yogurt drops! Add yogurt to a plastic bag, snip the end of it, and pipe yogurt drops onto parchment paper. Then freeze. Super easy and delicious! My toddler loves them 😋
