Not many of you will know this about me but I’m vegetarian. I have been for 5 years now and it was probably the best thing I ever did. A little background on why I became vegetarian is probably needed here. I love animals plain and simple. Me and my best friend embarked on this journey together and it started out by me having meat free days. I’d do this every other day and only eat fish or no meat at all. For the first year or so I was a pescatarian which means I only ate fish. It actually took me a couple tries to stop eating fish but finally did it and I have not turned back since.
I wont sit here and say that because of it I feel healthier and I have lost tonnes of weight. People seem to think being vegetarian or vegan means that you are so healthy. In some cases that is true but you can get so many vegetarian and vegan foods that are unhealthy.
One benefit that I have noticed is that my hair and nails are so much more healthier and when I eat food I never get so full up until that uncomfortable stage, which I appreciate a lot. Because who wants to feel bloated? Not me haha.
So enough about that, let’s get into the post. Today I will share some of my favourite meat free meal ideas along with recipes for you to try!
1. AVOCADO TOAST –
Such a simple and quick meal which will literally take you less than 10 minutes to prepare.
2. HALLOUMI BURGER –
I am such a halloumi lover. If you aren’t familiar with halloumi its a cheese that you griddle/pan fry. Its so delicious and salty! Perfect for a meat free burger.
3. SATAY SWEET POTATO AND KALE CURRY –
YUM YUM YUM is all I have to say on this dish. I recently got a subscription food box and it had this recipe in it. Me and my family love this so much!
4. EGGPLANT PARMESAN
I first tried this amazing invention whilst I was on holiday in the US at Olive Garden. I’m not really an eggplant fan, but this dish is delicious!

I’ve tried and failed a lot when it comes to giving up meat. I already don’t like fish so I gave that up Long time ago.

I was a raw vegan for 1 year. It just wasn’t sustainable for me, as I love smelling food cook. But, it is a healthy (and healing) way to eat, because you get all wonderful enzymes to properly digest our food! I love your pictures and ideas. I love ALL curry sauces! ❤️🦋🌀🙏
