The million dollar question, will 2021 be better than 2020? I wish I knew the answer. If I could write this and have a crystal ball looking into the future I would. I’d first look at if this stupid virus was gone. Because let’s face it, thats the one thing thats really screwed us over this year. I’d then look to see (and hope and pray) that all of the businesses and people who lost their jobs and homes have got all of it back. I really do feel for those people. And then I’d probably look to see if the world has any sort of hope that equality and injustice are resolved. Thats one thing I really wish for in 2021.Read more
One of the most important things about blogging is your blog audience. Without your audience your blog won’t get to where you want it to go. You essentially rely on strangers to read and interact with your content in order for your blog to be grow and flourish. It’s a weird concept if you think about it too much. As a blogger you rely heavily on your blog audience to interact and share your content, but with that its up to us (as bloggers) to try to understand our audiences a little better.Read more
Looking back at 2020, I admit we have had it pretty rough. It’s been anything but normal for us. When I turned 25 this year I swore it would be the best year of my life. My favourite number is 25, so I always said that year would be a year I wouldn’t forget. And I wasn’t wrong, but its unforgettable for all of the wrong reasons.Read more
Without fail towards the end of December, we always hear the words ‘New Year’s resolutions’ being thrown around in conversations. It’s something thats talked about alot, and I’d really love to know where and who started this mess. When I was younger my resolutions was always to lose weight and get healthy, and always without fail I’d give up after a few weeks.
Perhaps thats why I’m not a fan of them. Because every time I have tried, I have failed. So really I don’t see the point because I know I will just fail it again. Why do we love to set ourselves up for failure? Why do we wait for a new year to make changes. It’s the same as “I’ll start on Monday” , which never works. I have never really been a fan of New Years resolutions, just purely for the fact that a new year doesn’t just wipe the slate clean. If you want to make changes then do it now rather than later.Read more
Talking to my future self on my blog was never something I saw myself doing. And to be honest its quite out of the ordinary for me to think forward. I’m more of a let’s look at how far we have come than let’s see how far we still have to go. As I get older I’m constantly recognising things about myself I want to change and evolve.
I think it’s good to always be changing, as long as its for the better. People often get so offended when others say “You’ve changed”, but not me. I take that as a compliment. Why would I want to be the same person they knew 5 years ago? I think it’s such a privilege in life to be evolving into a better person, I don’t know about you but I don’t want to remain the same.Read more
I have suffered with anxiety for most of my adult life,. It’s something I’ve learnt to live with and I know others who suffer from it feel that way too. People who suffer with mental illnesses can seem fine and dandy on the outside but only they know what’s going on, in the inside.
I saw my friend Niraj post recently about anxiety, and it was like he was speaking to his anxiety like it was a person. I like the idea of facing it head on like its a friend or an enemy in my case. The idea seemed so good so I thought I’d take my own spin on it and write my own open letter to my anxiety.Read more
In life we often forget about the importance of the small things that happen in life, and just focus on the big stuff. Those big pivotal moments in life get all of the glory, but when do we actually stop and focus on the small things that happen? In todays post I want us to focus on those small things. No matter what they are, or how stupid we might think they are. If they are important to you, they are important to us.Read more
