Mental health has always been a hot topic on the internet and generally in life. But due to the recent coronavirus pandemic it has become even more talked about, and rightly so. People are suffering even more than before, and people are finding it really difficult to get the help they need. The usual facilities or help lines are closed and people have been left jobless, even homeless with mental health problems. Yes we are currently experiencing a global pandemic of COVID, but I think we are also on the brink of a mental health pandemic too.

After such an interesting year spent indoors and a year feeling less healthier than we were, I’m almost certain that I am not the only one who gained a few pounds. If you were part of the lucky few who challenged themselves to a healthier lifestyle, good on you. Unfortunately, I cannot relate. My lockdown started off great, and then it wasn’t. I could give you every excuse about why it all went south, but that won’t help anyone. Instead, I would just like everyone who is in a similar situation to know that it’s okay. I don’t know whether it’s the pandemic and everything else that happened last year, but something in me wants to make changes and stick to them. I really hope we don’t forget everything we learnt.
