Are You Happy?

Are You Happy?

To be happy, is something that alot of us strive for in life. Being happy (at least to me) is more than just an emotion, its a feeling too. I feel like as people, we chase happiness in almost everything we can find. Relationships, material items and experiences. When true happiness can only really be felt within. Did you know that 3 out of the 4 main emotions we feel as humans are negative, and only one is positive? Happy, sad, afraid and angry. So it’s no wonder we find it hard to be happy all of the time.

How To Turn Your Blog Into a Business

How To Turn Your Blog Into a Business

Turning a blog into a business is not an easy task. I remember when I first started blogging, I had no idea that I could make money from my website. And when I had my first opportunity to make some extra cash it was life changing. I couldn’t believe that this little website could provide a small amount of income for me. Money and blogging really can go hand in hand if you know what you are doing. And, like many other bloggers I for sure winged it and went into the business side of blogging with zero experience.

My One Year Blogging Anniversary

My One Year Blogging Anniversary

I can’t quite believe that Olivia Lucie Blake has turned one and its my one year blogging anniversary. Coming back to blogging after having almost 4 years away from this site, I had no idea what I was coming back to. If you are unsure of my blogging journey story, my blog was originally called Diadem of Beauty. With my main goal of wanting to share about beauty and hair products for all different races and hair types. I blogged on this topic for about a year. I didn’t see much growth in that year, as I was so inconsistent and realised that I had created such a small niche in my content. Slowly realising that I had lost my passion, the posts were few and far between and thats when I gave up.

10 Pieces of Life Advice From 10 Different Bloggers

10 Pieces of Life Advice From 10 Different Bloggers

Growing up and even now, I really appreciate life advice. Somebody taking time away from their lives, to share their wisdom with me is so special. Often times I have long, in depth conversations with friends about things we have experienced in life and how we learnt from each individual experience. Learning about others mistakes, and others accomplishments really helps to pave a path for us. Never under estimate the importance of sharing and gaining knowledge from other people. We like to think we can do things alone, but thats not really true.

My Weight Loss Journey: Losing 22 Pounds

My Weight Loss Journey: Losing 22 Pounds

For the longest time I have wanted to start my own weight loss journey, but there was always something stopping me. “I’ll start on Monday” or “I can’t do it this week because I’m on holiday.” I’m sure alot of you can relate to those statements. There was always something stopping me from doing it, even though I knew I needed to. After the 3rd lockdown in England, I really tried my hardest to do what I could to get healthier. Both physically and mentally. I went for 2 walks a day, I tried intermittent fasting and I just kept on gaining weight. I really struggled with body image.

6 Things Bloggers Should Never Do

6 Things Bloggers Should Never Do

I see so many posts about bloggers, and the sort of things we should be doing. But, I hardly ever see posts about what bloggers shouldn’t do. It’s important, especially if you are a new blogger to read, and learn about the rules and things you should be doing to respect other bloggers and run your website successfully. I am no where near a professional at this, but I have seen and made my fair share of blogging mistakes.

How To Stand Out As A Lifestyle Blogger

How To Stand Out As A Lifestyle Blogger

As a lifestyle blogger I am very aware of the fact that the niche I am in, is very over crowded. There is no doubt about it. When I first started blogging, I had no idea what niche I wanted to put my blog in. And honestly, you don’t even have to niche yourself if you don’t want to. The lifestyle niche I fell into just happened naturally, and sometimes thats the way it goes. Or you choose and niche and then swap it.
