Three Things I’m Happy to Leave in 2023

As we welcome the start of a new year, it’s natural to reflect on the past and look towards the future. For many of us, 2023 has been a rollercoaster ride filled with both highs and lows. As we enter a new year, it’s important to acknowledge and appreciate the lessons we’ve learned, but also to let go of things that no longer serve us.

In this blog post, I want to share three things that I am happily leaving behind in 2023. These are aspects of my life that have held me back, caused unnecessary stress, and hindered my growth. Join me in saying goodbye and moving forward towards 2024.

THE FEAR OF MAKING MISTAKES

As we step into a new year, it’s time to shake off the fear of making mistakes. Many of us have spent far too long trying to please others and avoiding any mistakes along the way. But the truth is, making mistakes is a natural part of life and an essential to growing in life. We limit so much of our selves by worrying about making mistakes and it really does hold us back.

One of the main reasons we fear making mistakes is because we are too focused on people-pleasing. We constantly worry about what others will think of us if we stumble or fail. But here’s the thing – everyone makes mistakes. It’s how we learn and grow. Instead of striving for perfection, we should aim for progress. By accepting that mistakes are inevitable, we free ourselves from the fear of failure.

SAYING GOODBYE TO SELF-DOUBT

Saying goodbye to unnecessary self-doubt is one of the most liberating things we can do for ourselves. We’ve all experienced moments of questioning our abilities and second-guessing our decisions. But it’s time to let go of those doubts and embrace our own worth and potential.

One of the main culprits of self-doubt is people-pleasing. We constantly seek validation from others, fearing that if we don’t meet their expectations, we will be deemed not good enough. But the truth is, we can never please everyone, and that’s okay. We need to shift our focus from external validation to self-acceptance and self-belief.

NEGATIVITY AND TOXIC RELATIONSHIPS

Negativity can come from so many places, one being our own self talk and negative beliefs in ourselves. Constantly putting yourself down, doubting your abilities and comparing ourselves to others doesn’t help us grow as people. It’s time to challenge these negative thoughts and replace them with compassion and empowerment. we deserve to believe in ourselves and our potential.

Toxic relationships will always make you fall behind. They will drain you of everything you have and you won’t even have anything left to give yourself. It’s not until you’re out of it that you realise it has such a lasting impact on you. They can make you feel worthless and like you’re nothing. Let go of those toxic relationships you’ve been holding onto. Realise what you deserve and find the strength to let go and put yourself first.

4 Things I’ve Learnt From Living By Myself

4 Things I’ve Learnt From Living By Myself

It’s not often I write about personal things on my blog, but today I thought I’d switch it up and tell you all about how I have found living by myself. For the last 26 years of my life, I have lived in the same home. The same four walls and with the same people. My siblings moved out (I am the youngest) and it was then me and my parents for a while. I always felt so comfortable living where I lived, it was home.
