I know alot of people don’t like Instagram much, and I know why. Just like many other social media platforms, they have changed their algorithm, and it’s made it even harder for creators for their work to be seen. I started my blog instagram page in September, previous to starting it I was using my own personal Instagram. It didn’t take me long to realise this was a bad idea. I think for me it’s important to have some sort of separation from personal and blog, which is the main reason why I started the separate account.
A lot of people don’t realise the work that goes into running a blog full time, there’s so much more to it than just writing and posting content. Theres the interaction side of it, and making sure that you are supporting other people as much as they are supporting you. Theres the upkeep, making sure that all of the links are working on your site, and making sure you are staying ontop of post ideas and emails and sticking to your blogging schedule. I could go on and on.
Since starting my Instagram account I have personally seen many benefits of having the account for my blog, and today I’ll be going through those benefits today.

Something thats really important to me, and something I like to remind people of is the good things they have in life. I especially like to do this when I’m having a rough time, it really helps to put things into perspective. Being thankful in the mist of a bad time or a bad period of mental health is something I really cling to, to help me feel better.
So today I thought I would spread some positivity in the internet world and came up with the idea of this post. I want this post to be a hub of positivity. Where we all come together to share the things we are grateful for in life, and so we can encourage and remind each other of the good things we have.
I’ll list 10 things I’m thankful for this week and I then want you to go to the comment section and list as many things as you like, that you are thankful for too.

Were still in quite a weird time right now, and making the most out of life probably looks a-lot different than if I was writing this a year ago. But none-the-less I think its still so important that we make the most out of life. Not to get morbid here, but we don’t know when our time will be up. We don’t know when we will die, so why do we always put these off for a later time or not appreciate the time we do have here enough?
I’m writing today’s post as a reminder to you and to me too. That we must do all we can to appreciate and love the life we are in now. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, so live your life today. Here are my top 10 pieces of life advice that I follow, that allow me to make the most out of life.

We all struggle from time to time with getting zits, spots or blemishes and I want to assure you getting them is 100% normal. Theres so much pressure on us in todays society to have perfect hair, skin, teeth nails etc. But in reality thats just not possible. Many people no matter what age or gender suffer from bad skin.
As a teen my skin was okay, it was when I started using makeup and wearing foundation that I started to get blemishes. And then of course after puberty it was hormone that caused a-lot of my spots. Last year I discovered The Ordinary skincare, I remember a friend at work told me about the wonders it did for her skin. I remember hearing that and thinking “I wonder if it will work for me?”. Its really inexpensive compared to other skincare brands so decided to give it a try. Today I’ll be sharing the results that I’ve had so far from using the products!

Before I started a blog I didn’t really look or research what goes into it. I just saw others doing it and thought “I want to do this too!”. Of course if you are considering starting a blog or have just started one, I’d recommend doing the opposite of what I did. Its always good to research anything before you do it, especially when it involves the internet.
Blogging advice can vary, what I think works for me and my blog might not be the same case for you or another blogger. We don’t all have the same audiences, we don’t all have the same opinions and preferences in style and colours. Everybody has different thoughts and processes they follow.
Today I wanted to share the blogging advice I have learnt whilst blogging, in hopes it helps you on your blogging journey too!

I almost feel like I’m unintentionally doing a mini series with all of my self-love, self-confidence and self-acceptance posts. I think its so important in the current climate that we are kind to ourselves and show ourselves love. Society and ourselves put pressure on us to be a certain way, and when we don’t fit that mould we aren’t seen as worthy enough, which is of course not true. I had never heard of the phrase self-compassion until a few days ago, so decided to do my own research and then extend what I have learnt to here on my blog.

For most of my adult life I have had long distance friendships. Me and my friends maintain a pretty regular friendship with 4,000+ miles between us. We met when they came here to the UK from America. They came here for a semester (around 4 months) to study and work at the church I attend. Long distance friendships, similar to long distance relationships can be hard to maintain but I’m here today to tell you why they are so worth it.

Although I am only 22, the change from teenage years was definitely noticeable. Being pregnant at 20 and having a baby at 21 made it even more significant and I feel like I have grown so much in such a small amount of time. Here are the 5 things I have learnt in my twenties…all 2 loooooong years of them!
