{AD} Being bored in lockdown has given me so much more time to do blogging related lockdown activities. I have found it so hard though, to come up with lockdown activities and things to do to keep me occupied. Theres only so many times I can go on a walk, or re-watch my favourite show for the fifth time. As bloggers, we know that there are so many different things we can do to fill our time. But sometimes the tasks become so menial and boring. And the last thing you want is to get bored with blogging.
One of my favourite things when it comes to running a website is creating graphics and images to go with it. I really love content creation and seeing visions come to life. And thats probably one of the main reasons why I love blogging so much.
It’s important that we are constantly evolving and trying new things when it comes to blogging. Times move so quickly on the internet that it can almost feel impossible to keep up. Which is why I’m sharing today, three creative lockdown activities for bloggers. In hopes that maybe it helps you get your mojo back if you’re struggling. Or if you just need that extra push to do something different and creative with your blog.
DESIGN YOURSELF A NEW BLOG THEME
Hear me out! I know there are people out there who are masters at coding and creation of themes. Sometimes I wish I could just create myself my own theme, so I know its exactly how I want it. But unfortunately I am not a master coder. But I am pretty sure someone who reads my blog is!
Even if you can’t code the theme yourself, you could always commission someone else to! It would be such a fun process to come up with a concept and colour schemes for a new blog theme. I really love designing and would love to commission someone to design my next blog theme for me!

CREATE A CUSTOM LOGO
If you don’t have a logo for your blog yet, what are you doing?!
Creating a custom logo for your website doesn’t have to be hard, or expensive. I created nearly all of the logos I used on my blog myself using various different tools that are available to you too! One of my favourite places to get graphics for logos is from Design bundles. When scrolling through, you can see they have so many high quality and varied design options. Which are perfect for logo creation. They have various animal clipart options to choose from, with some of my favourites being their puppy clipart options. I am a Dog person, if you can’t tell already!
What I am trying to say is. Get creative and see what you can come up with! You Might surprise yourself and come up with the best custom logo ever!

JOIN FORCES WITH OTHER BLOGGERS
Having blogging friends are so important when you are a blogger. They are your support system, and they are the ones who can help you so much on your blogging journey. Some of my favourite projects so far are the ones I have done with my blogging friends.
Joining forces with other bloggers and getting creative has a mutual benefit to both of you. This can be in the form of guest posting on each others blogs or creating a product together. I have worked with so many bloggers when I created my blogging guides that I sell. My friend Shelly and I worked together to create my 30 day blogging strategy and it was so fun coming up with ideas together. It really helps with creativity and has been some of my favourite lockdown activities I have done so far.

How do you use your creative skills in lockdown? Have you worked with any other bloggers on projects? Have you got your own blog logo yet?
Lockdown is hard, but it’s made easier when you think outside of the box and do new and different things for your blog. It also helps to keep blogging what it should be, FUN!

Wouldnt it be awesome if we could though? It would be a challenge but such a great outcome! X
Some nice ideas there !
Thanks so much!
I guess!! Same goes with me 😄 I love doing blogging only because it gives you pure satisfaction creating new design, and most importantly the content, that matters the most if we call ourselves a blogger😊.
For sure!
I actually just made my logo the other day! I’m not in lockdown though. Just off work because of a knee injury awaiting surgery.
Love that! 🙂
Oh gosh designing a blog theme is something I can’t even imagine doing on my own! Yes a logo is key – I just used Canva for mine but honestly I love it so much!
Canva is great for creating logos!
Some great ideas for creative activities for bloggers, I love the idea of designing a new blog theme, but I’m not all that technical, I don’t know how I manage a blog sometimes! x

Great ideas Olivia! C
Thanks so much!
After I release at least 100 blog posts in my blog, my goal is to switch to WordPress and rebrand my blog. As you suggested, I will create a brand new logo and have a new, more updated theme and design. Love the tips, Olivia! Thanks for sharing.

WordPress is such a good platform for blogging! So excited to see you swap over! x
Now I want to delve into learning how to code! 😂 Did you use any specific apps when you created your logos?
I created alot of mine using pro create on my iPad, but have created some using Canva too!
Thank you!
There are so things I want to do. You have some very good ideas.
My best friend designed my new logo a month ago and I’m completly obsessed with it – works for both of us: she had fun & I needed a new logo 🙂 I’ve been doing some painting reccently x
This is awesome! x
I would love to know how to edit and code everything myself but Olivia girl is too much, it is an awesome idea though to team up with other bloggers to come up with blogging ideas together.

Hahaha it would be ALOT of work, but maybe a project or goal long term instead! 🙂
But like what? Can u give me some examples?
Examples of what? 🙂
Examples of longterm goals regarding blogging.
Oh! Well it depends what you want out of your blog. It could be to hit follower milestones or posting milestones. It could be working with brands or making an income from your blog. It all depends what you want to get out of it!
Ofcourse.. for me since I don’t live in the us or any eu country is not even possible to get an income on blogging. Where I’m currently living is so hard, but I will keep on blogging because I really do love it. My goal is hitting 1000 followers on my blog and 2000 on twitter😊thank you Olivia
You dont have to even live in those places to make money though. Everything is online. There are opportunities everywhere online to make money!
I have tried but so far no luck
loved it!!
