Over the last few months I have shared some of my journey to becoming a healthier me, and I wanted to continue sharing updates and inspiration for you all. My journey has now nearly come to half a year, which is so crazy to think about. I started this journey the first week of April, and now we are in August. I remember counting down the days and thinking, one step closer to being where I want to be. And now here we are, 5 months in and I am feeling better than ever.
I really want to continue sharing all of the things I am learning during this season in my life. Becoming a healthier me is something thats so important to me and my long term health. As mentioned in previous posts, I was diagnosed with a health condition which meant that losing weight was something very important for me to do to become better.
In todays post I want to share more about the online coach I am working with and also some of the exercise and fitness updates that I have achieved over the last 5 months!
FITNESS GOALS
Over the last 5 months I have really improved in my fitness and ability to move my body for longer. Years ago I did running, and told my online coach about how much I loved it, and she was able to include running into my exercise plan. My first ever run I did was 2km. And let me tell you, I died and came back. I remember it feeling so hard on my body and my chest. I am asthmatic so this made it worse. I ran the 2km and I remember it taking me over 30 minutes.
5 months later, I am able to run multiple 5k’s each week. I run 2-3 times every week and can run none stop for over 30 minutes. Which is such an improvement to where I started. As you lose weight and get healthier, you notice little things like not getting out of breath as easy, and being able to recover better from running. I no longer feel like I’m going to pass out after every exercise I do!

MENTAL HEALTH IMPROVEMENTS
It’s no lie when people say that exercise really helps your mental health. I have noticed such a vast improvement to my own mental health over the last 5 months. Being in a pandemic and being locked away has been hard for us all. And I think I was carrying alot of that sadness and depression with me even after coming out of lockdown.
Exercise has really helped me to combat that. Its honestly such a great way to clear your mind and get out your feelings. Even if its just going for walk, it really helps to clear everything in my mind and helps me to re-set.
Finding the motivation to go and exercise though can be hard. But one thing I have learnt is that we have to listen to our bodies. If you feel like you can go and do it, then do it. But if you feel like you can’t, you can’t. the world won’t end and crumble around you if you change your workout or miss a day.

MORE ABOUT MY ONLINE COACH
When I realised I wanted to become a healthier me, I knew I would need help from somebody. My online coach is amazing, and I would recommend her x10. She is my biggest supporter! And as much as I would love to have her to myself, I will leave her details below if you’d like to enquire. She can work with men and women and it doesn’t matter where you live in the world because she is an ONLINE coach! There is an app that we use, and on there is my eating guide and where she schedules my workouts for the week. The app is easy to use and can connect to smart watches too!
Working with a coach is not just about losing weight, it’s about accountability and learning from a professional the knowledge to do this in a healthy way.
If you are interested in working with her, she has some really affordable plans for everybody so remember to ask about those. If you do decide to enquire with her, tell her that Olivia Lucie Blake sent you! (This is not sponsored!)

WHAT I EAT AND NUTRITION
Something that I really love about working with my online coach is that she tailored a whole eating plan/guide for me when we started working together. It meant that I didn’t need to count calories and be really careful about what I ate. The guide works like a menu. There are several breakfast, lunch and dinner options and I pick and choose which meals I want when.
Alot of the issue with people not wanting to count calories or struggling to lose weight is having to figure out the calories etc in food. Having this guide has helped me so much to save time! Now because I am 5 months in, I plan most of my meals myself. I dip into her food guide every now and then but tend to choose my own meals.
I feel so in control over my food and what I choose to eat. There really are no restrictions. I ate some birthday cake the other day and probably went over my calorie allowance but I didn’t care. And the old me would have freaked out about that. Learning to love food and to respect my body has been such a great thing for me. I no longer worry about going out to eat and I don’t worry about weekends away. I eat whatever I want, and thats the way it should be. Food is to be enjoyed.

5 MONTH PICTURE UPDATE
Here is my physique update picture. The left picture was a few days before I started working with Ellie (my coach) around 2nd April 2021. And the right picture was on the 9th August 2021, the day I’m writing this post. Its amazing to see the changes in my body. But its more about the changes I am making within. It’s a struggle sometimes and I can say that I struggle with body image even still. But I am working on those things, to become a better and healthier me!
How are you changing and improving this year? Becoming a healthier me has been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I am so excited to see where I will be at in the next 5 months! And hope you decide to stick around and be on this journey with me!

“It’s more about the changes I’m making within” Yes to this 100%, our mental health is as equally as important as our physical! Congrats on the journey, you’re doing amazing!!
Yes it is! And thats something I am glad I am learning!
Great job!!!
Thanks alot!
Wow that’s incredible, it really does feel great to make yourself a priority and there are so many benefits to be being healthy!
It really does!
i totally resonated when you said you felt the emotions from the pandemic even after lockdown. i’ve felt the same way. although things are kind of getting back to normal, the past year & a half (& even currently) has weighed on my shoulders. having a workout routine & sweating out those feelings is so therapeutic.
i’m so proud of how far you’ve come already! i think having an online coach to help keep you accountable & acting as a support system as well is so important.
keep being amazing!!
Thank you friend! 💕
Good for you! It’s amazing how you can see and feel big changes in such a short amount of time. It shows you are dedicated! Keep it up!😁

Good for you! You’re beautiful. I love that your mental health has improved. I need to start running again. I believe you’ve motivated me to do so. Thank you. Have a great day.
Thank you Faye! Running has been one of the best things for me mentally!
You go girl. You’re an inspiration for sure.
You are inspiring.
Thank you!
You’ve done SO WELL. I love seeing your progress. I recently overhauled my diet, not to lose weight, just because I am anaemic and I wanted to be more mindful about getting iron and nutrition. Amazing how it makes you feel after a couple of weeks isn’t it? Well done.
I love this. Changing your diet isn’t always about weight loss or wanting to change your body, it can be for an inner change too!
Congratulations on a healthier you! Best wishes on your journey. 🙂
