It’s of the utmost importance that you feel happy both externally and internally. It’s normal now and again for people to feel down, but a few lifestyle changes could help to prevent this. Whether its a physical change or a routine change, you can feel much happier in yourself!

This is a contributed post.
1. YOGA & MEDITATION
It may sound excruciatingly cliche but yoga and meditation are recommended highly for a reason. It’s been massively advocated for in relation to stress reduction and the focus on breathing can create mental clarity, calmness and awareness. Having a moment in your day, preferably at the beginning of such, to prepare, relax, and rejuvenate yourself before you start your day can have such a beneficial impact on your outlook and the internal and external way you feel. Put yourself first and prioritise your self-care. If you give yourself a minute to breathe and you might start to change how you look at things. Meditation can be a path to a happier life if you give it a chance!
2. EXERCISE
Going to the gym and pounding the equipment may not be as enticing to you as it it for other people. It does become appealing the more you go to the gym but if you are not feeling this, a simple walk counts as exercise. Of course, it has shown increases in happiness repeatedly and so adding a walk, a run or a trip to the gym into your routine can have significant results. Even if you don’t feel like going to the gym, there are many workouts you can do in the comfort of your own home! Work out with your mental goals in mind.
3. STOP USING SOCIAL MEDIA
A lot of the time, we can surround ourselves with media that isnt helpful to us. Body image issues and damaged self-esteem can all come from a simple click on a persons profile on Instagram. Unfollowing accounts that you can see have negative effects on you can be extremely advantageous to your happiness and overall wellbeing. Don’t follow people you compare yourself to unnecessarily. Focus on yourself, your goals and how you can stay happy whilst reaching them. Time away from your phone and from social media can improve your mood and focus whilst simultaneously helping you have better sleep and decreased anxiety in your daily life.
4. MAKE A CHANGE YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED
Sometimes doing something you’ve always wanted to do but have held off doing may be just what you need! Investing in that idea you had, or putting a payment down on that car, changing your wardrobe or paying for that procedure you’ve always wanted. Small changes can often make a large difference especially if you’ve wanted to do something for a while. Dental or facial procedures may have been on your radar for a while and now it may finally be the time to look into your options and see how you can be happier for yourself! Invisalign clear aligners may be something you have considered in the past, maybe its an insecurity that is damaging your confidence and happiness. Maybe you’ve always wanted an eyebrow lift or laser eye surgery! Look into the things you’ve only thought about and put them on paper. Do your research and you may start to see brighter horizons when your put your desires first.
5. TALK TO SOMEONE
A problem shared is a problem halved. Sometimes just talking to someone when you;ve had a bday day can make you feel significantly better! Socialising when you don’t feel like it may prove to pull you out of the negativity you feel yourself sinking into. Speaking always make you feel like there has been a weight lifted and doing this can be the kickstart to your happiness. Let someone know how you’re feeling and you can begin your journey now! Be a better and happier version of yourself.
This is so true!
