My Top 2023 Blogging Tips

When I first started blogging all I did was research blogging tips to help me get started. The information out there was overwhelming to say the least. I had no idea where to begin, but I knew I wanted to make my blog a success. I knew that if this blog was going to be a success, I’d need to listen to those who are bloggers themselves and those who run their own blogs. Which is why I love sharing advice and blogging tips with my audience.

UTILISE SOCIAL MEDIA & OTHER PLATFORMS

The first and biggest tip I can share is to make sure that you utilise social media and any other platforms out there. Medium, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest to name a few are great platforms to help elevate your blog to another level. Using social media is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your blog. So make sure you’re utilising the platforms that are out there!

Amongst the social media platforms there are also opportunities to get your website listed onto other peoples sites. An example of this is Mohamad Karbi’s blog directory. The blog directory is a great way to have your website showcased! Its laid out as a place to go to find all kinds of blogs for all kinds of people.

CONNECT WITH OTHER BLOGGERS

One of the most important blogging tips I will share with you is that community is everything. Finding and connecting with other bloggers is what will help your own blog to grow and thrive. I’ve lost count the amount of times I’ve asked for help from other bloggers and sought advice from them. I remember when I first started blogging, I would reach out to way bigger bloggers than me and ask for collaborations and to work with them. It honestly really helped alot in getting my name out there.

So, don’t be afraid to reach out. We’re all in this together!

REACH OUT TO BRANDS FOR COLLABORATION

What are you waiting for? Are you waiting for more followers? More engagement? Well, let me tell you a little story. When I was under 1k followers on my blog, I reached out to so many brands to ask if they wanted to work together. Some said no, but guess what… some also said yes. Honestly, I am such a firm believer in you don’t know until you try. What’s the worst that can happen? They say no & then you move onto another brand.

I hate to be cheesy but you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. There are brands out there that would love to work with you!

  2. I would say you’re right on about connecting with other blogs and reaching out to businesses to offer blogging services! I have also received a lot of useful products from companies that I have written articles for, which is very nice considering I am not paid for blogging.

  8. Hi Olivia! Thanks so much for this – I needed to hear it. I’ve just started my blog (after 4 failed attempts; I think this time I may have got it right… I think). I do agree with you though, being able to meet other bloggers have really allowed me to feel part of a community. It’s like meeting new friends! You get updates on their life & thoughts!

    I would love to be able to grow my blog, only because of being able to write and having a more flexible lifestyle (if my blog ever makes it)!
