It’s nearly 2021 which means we all need some 2021 blog post ideas! I really hope and pray 2021 is better than 2020 and that we learn from everything we went through! 2020 is ending on a high note with a giveaway, so its only right we start 2021 on a high note too. Being a blogger is like having a full time job. The writing really only takes up 30% of the work. So I thought why not start the year off right with some blog post ideas. It’s been a while since I’ve done this, so thought it was time I shared some more.Read more
When it comes to blogging I have made my fair share of blogging mistakes, but honestly I think we all have. Sometimes I don’t even know if I’d call them mistakes. Because I learnt something from each of them. Let’s rebrand mistakes as ‘lessons learnt’. It sounds alot better.
I’ve posted alot of content this year, and along the way have had many lessons learnt moments. And for todays blog I’ll be going through some of them. I want to do this so that you can learn from the blogging mistakes that I’ve made. And so you can make sure you don’t make the same mistakes I did. Its so easy to fall into bad habits, and it’s easy to make mistakes without even realising.Read more

Blogging addiction is real and very present in alot of bloggers lives. Now there are worse things to be addicted to [obviously] but that doesn’t mean its a good addiction to have. The biggest question that gets asked in the blogging world is how you get brand deals from blogging. And it really is the million dollar question, especially when thats something you want to do with your blog. So many people start blogging for it to be their main source of income. I commend those people, because it really is a hard to grow your blog and make money from it.There is this misconception that you have to have thousands and thousands of followers for companies and brands to want to work with you. And thats really not the case. There has been a rise in companies preferring to use nano and micro influencers.Read more
When you first start out as a blogger there are so many blogging questions in your mind, because there is so much to learn. If you follow me on my Instagram, you will know I have shared my media kit before. When I asked my followers if they knew what a media kit was, alot of people said no. And when I look back to when I re-started my blog in July, I had no idea either. I remember finding a post about media kits at the time, and found it was so helpful to have a post that broke it down for me and explained in detail what it was.
A media kit is a portfolio type document that represents you and your blog. It’s something you use to sell yourself to brands. It’s important that your media kit is professional and sleek. And It should have all of the relevant information a brand might need to know about your site.

When I first started blogging my inspiration came from here, there and everywhere. I had a beauty focused blog, so it was pretty easy to find makeup inspiration all over social media. Now I find it alot harder to find inspiration for my posts. I think it’s because I worry about what I post and overthink it way too much. Which I know alot of bloggers do!
For this weeks open discussion Saturday I want to know where you find your inspiration. How do you come up with blog post ideas and how do you choose what you want to share with the world? As always I’ll share where my inspiration comes from then I want to hear from you!Read more
At one point we were all a new blogger, struggling to navigate the site we just signed up to and trying to figure out what to even write about. We have all been there, and it really can be a struggle sometimes. Before I was a blogger I’d come across so many beautiful and professional looking sites whilst trying to find one of my favourite cookie recipes. I’d be in awe of the sleek designs and professional imagery I saw. I wondered how much time and effort was put into creating and maintaining a site like that.
We assume that people who have professional looking sites are long standing bloggers and have been in the business for a while, but thats not always true. I have blogging friends who have beautiful looking sites who just posted their first blog a month ago. It’s really all down to the time and effort the individual puts into their website.Read more
