5 Confessions of a Full Time Blogger

5 Confessions of a Full Time Blogger

To confess is to admit something not many people know [if anyone], and as bloggers we have so many confessions. Well I do anyway. There are things I do all of the time that you wouldn’t know from the other side of the computer screen. You don’t see me roll my eyes when the same person for the 5th time that week has left their link in my comment section. You don’t see the countless hours I spend worrying about whether readers will like my posts, or the late night thinking about featured images – weird I know.

Blogging is the biggest blessing and has saved me in so many different ways but there are things we all do that we won’t admit to. With anything in life you find downsides or things that annoy you, so today I want to share those things. And admit some of the bad habits I have or the things that tick me off. Because we are all humans after all!

The Best Way to Support Bloggers This Christmas

The Best Way to Support Bloggers This Christmas

Whether they are doing Blogmas or they are posting Christmas content, as bloggers we know now more than ever that we need your support. No matter the time of year or season, we are always striving to create good content for our websites. Theres something about Christmas content though that requires that extra level of research and time put into the posts.

There are alot of bloggers out there who have spend countless days and nights preparing for Blogmas and December. It took me nearly 2 months to write all of my 25 Blogmas posts. Some bloggers depend on their blogs for their income, and with that extra time they’re putting in, its up to us to make sure we are supporting where we can.

So for todays post, I thought why not share some ways you can support bloggers during this Christmas season. Of course these tips can be used throughout the year too, but it’s important to have a focus on the Christmas season. Because this is blogmas after all!

Where Does Your Blogging Inspiration Come From?

Where Does Your Blogging Inspiration Come From?

When I first started blogging my inspiration came from here, there and everywhere. I had a beauty focused blog, so it was pretty easy to find makeup inspiration all over social media. Now I find it alot harder to find inspiration for my posts. I think it’s because I worry about what I post and overthink it way too much. Which I know alot of bloggers do!

For this weeks open discussion Saturday I want to know where you find your inspiration. How do you come up with blog post ideas and how do you choose what you want to share with the world? As always I’ll share where my inspiration comes from then I want to hear from you!

Interviewing My Parents About Being Parents – Pt 2

Interviewing My Parents About Being Parents – Pt 2

Welcome to part two of Interviewing my parents about being parents. I asked my parents separately the same questions and have created this series to share what they said. If you missed the first post then you missed the interview I did with my dad! You can go back and read it here.

I really enjoyed this process and hearing two both different perspectives on parenting. It’s interesting to see the differences in answers from a fathers and mothers point of view. At the end of this post I’ll do a short re-cap of both of the posts and see what differences and similarities there have been between both my moms and dads responses.

Interviewing My Parents About Being Parents

Interviewing My Parents About Being Parents

My parents are two of the most amazing humans that I know. They are supportive, kind, caring and help me in more way than one. I don’t have many posts on my blog covering parenthood because I’m not a parent yet so I had this idea to interview my parents about being parents. I thought it would be interesting hearing their perspectives on parenting now that all of their children are grown up and are adults.

I always get people commenting on my parents skills and how amazing they are, so why not share their wise words and thoughts with the world. Be prepared that there for sure be some comedic responses to the 10 questions I have for them, because they like to think they’re funny!

This will be a two part series, with the first responses being from my dad. We won’t be sharing any personal information about my parents like their names or anything like that, but I hope you enjoy this post and find it helpful hearing a different parental perspective.
