How To Stand Out As A Lifestyle Blogger

How To Stand Out As A Lifestyle Blogger

As a lifestyle blogger I am very aware of the fact that the niche I am in, is very over crowded. There is no doubt about it. When I first started blogging, I had no idea what niche I wanted to put my blog in. And honestly, you don’t even have to niche yourself if you don’t want to. The lifestyle niche I fell into just happened naturally, and sometimes thats the way it goes. Or you choose and niche and then swap it.

How to Break Out of a Creative Slump

How to Break Out of a Creative Slump

I don’t know about you, but recently I have been in the worst creative slump. I’ve found it so hard to focus and get creative on my blog. And it’s truly one of the most frustrating things. I can’t even imagine how hard it is for people who blog as their full time job and feel like this. Because it’s either they suck it up and figure it out or they don’t make money. I’m sure so many of you will relate to the way I am feeling, and I know I’m not alone in feeling like this.

I know alot of external factors can affect creativity. I mean just take a look at the world right now, thats enough to ruin anyones creativity. Mental health also plays a big part in this too, and just general wellbeing. When everything in your life is properly aligned, then so will your thinking.

A 40 Page SEO Guide For Beginners

A 40 Page SEO Guide For Beginners

The day is finally here for my SEO guide to be released into the world. I have been working so hard behind the scenes to create this SEO for beginners guide. So many of you purchased the 30 day blogging plan and really loved it. So when thinking of a new guide to create, I tried to think of the one thing alot of bloggers struggle with. And that is SEO. When I first started blogging I had no idea what it was or even how I would implement it on my blog.

Making the guide easy to read and understand was one of the most important things I kept in mind whilst creating it. Because I know how complicated SEO can be, I made sure to keep everything really clear and concise. I didn’t want another document filled with big words and things that made no sense. Because that would not be helpful at all.

5 Blogs You Need to Read This Month

5 Blogs You Need to Read This Month

One thing I love about blogging is being able to read other blogs. I really treat my WordPress reader like the newspaper. I scroll through and read through several blogs each day. Not only because I want to, but its so important in the blogging community to show love and support to other bloggers. I recently saw another blogger do a whole post sharing her favourite blog posts that month, and I thought it was such a great idea. So here I am! Thanks Michelle for the idea.

How Blogging Saved Me

How Blogging Saved Me

Blogging saved me, in so many ways. You can probably relate to what I’m about to write as I know alot of other bloggers feel the same. What To Do When You’re Lacking Inspiration

What To Do When You’re Lacking Inspiration

Inspiration, Inspiration, Inspiration.

If you’re a blogger, writer or anything to do with creating, at some point I’m sure you have found that your inspiration levels have run low. Which has probably left you feeling frustrated, annoyed and deflated at the fact you can’t think of anything new. We have all been there and know just how that feels. Inspiration can come from so many different places, you just have to go looking in the right place.

It’s like a battle of two forces. You want to create something but you just don’t know what. There are times I go through this with writing. I actually went through just that whilst trying to think of blog content and thats how this post was created. I had writers block and had no idea what to write, so thank you writers block for helping me out for once!

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Talking to my future self on my blog was never something I saw myself doing. And to be honest its quite out of the ordinary for me to think forward. I’m more of a let’s look at how far we have come than let’s see how far we still have to go. As I get older I’m constantly recognising things about myself I want to change and evolve.

I think it’s good to always be changing, as long as its for the better. People often get so offended when others say “You’ve changed”, but not me. I take that as a compliment. Why would I want to be the same person they knew 5 years ago? I think it’s such a privilege in life to be evolving into a better person, I don’t know about you but I don’t want to remain the same.

An Open Letter to My Anxiety

An Open Letter to My Anxiety

I have suffered with anxiety for most of my adult life,. It’s something I’ve learnt to live with and I know others who suffer from it feel that way too. People who suffer with mental illnesses can seem fine and dandy on the outside but only they know what’s going on, in the inside.

I saw my friend Niraj post recently about anxiety, and it was like he was speaking to his anxiety like it was a person. I like the idea of facing it head on like its a friend or an enemy in my case. The idea seemed so good so I thought I’d take my own spin on it and write my own open letter to my anxiety.

Should You Stay Within Your Niche as a Blogger?

Should You Stay Within Your Niche as a Blogger?

Should you stay in your niche as a blogger? This is a question I have often asked myself, but more so now I have other bloggers ask me. Niche is a hot topic it seems like currently in the blogging world. Is it okay to step out of your blogging niche? Should I just stick to the topics I blog about? These are the questions I see all over the blogging space.

Blogging is full of many queries and questions and I feel like there is always something new to learn. I also feel like I am constantly changing and advancing my strategy, which is a lesson on how fast new things appear and how fast things become irrelevant. I thought today for open discussion Saturday I’d share my thoughts, and share the results I have had from moving out of my niche into what I do currently.

Remember this is open discussion Saturday, so as always I want to hear your thoughts and your own experiences of this too. So once you have read the post, leave a comment!
