Everyday I feel like I learn something new about blogging, do you feel that too? There is so much to learn and understand, from SEO (search engine optimisation) to blog themes, to back links… I could be here all day listing it all. Something I’ve been learning recently though is that a website is such a huge representation of the person/company behind it, and it made me realise how important it is to maintain a good website thats representative of you and your brand. Custom digital content can help so much with creating that professional and sleek web page that a lot of us desire and want for our own sites.
So let’s get started on learning how custom digital content can help enhance your website!
WHAT IS CUSTOM DIGITAL CONTENT?
Custom digital content can be anything from personalised logos, header images, personalised text. Theres many other examples out there too!
‘Content should be the core of your marketing strategy. Both consumers and businesses are using the internet to reach their needs, so businesses should be taking advantage of the opportunities that come from online marketing. When a consumer is using the internet to make a decision, they are looking for a consistent, trustworthy brand.’
– Tandem Interative
This quote sums it up so perfectly. Not only do viewers(and customers) see the content of your site, they also look at the branding, the theme, whether you are consistent. All of this helps to build up your brand and your online image.
IT MAKES YOUR BLOG MORE PERSONAL
I don’t know about you, but whenever I click onto a website and it has an inviting logo and header image it makes me want to explore and view the content that the website has to offer. I think it helps a lot when the logo is a good representation of the brand or person behind the site, and thats what I mean by ‘more personal’. Having a well designed and personalised logo to your blog really helps to build that viewer and writer relationship.
IT GIVES YOUR SITE A MORE PROFESSIONAL FEEL
As stated earlier, a consistent brand can help to make your blog feel more professional. I prefer to view websites that have consistency, a good logo, good text and titles etc. That could just be my preference (we are all different) but thats what makes me want to go back for more.
A blog should be pleasing to the eye but eye catching too. It should stand out from the crowd.
IT HELPS YOU TO BUILD YOUR BRAND
The first major step in building a brand is having a representing image – a logo. Logos are so important, especially if you want to stand out from the crowd. Think of one of your favourite brands, now can you think of their logo? If the answer is yes then they have done their job correctly. Brands want you to remember them and point them out whenever you see them. Thats the whole point of logos. So blogging shouldn’t be any different. Get that logo created!
WHERE TO GET CUSTOM DIGITAL CONTENT
Many places and companies offer services for everyone if they are in need of custom digital content, me included. You can find some great designers on Etsy.
Recently I have started creating and selling custom content for bloggers and businesses. Head over to my digital content page to see what services I offer. Below I have showcased some custom logos I have done so you can get an idea of the type of service I provide.
I hope this post was helpful in showing what custom digital content can do for your blog! I understand that it might not be for everyone, and thats okay! We are all different and have different wants and likes! Thats what makes us who we are. Thanks for reading, see you in the next one!
If you are in need of a logo or anything else for your business, please send me a message! I’d love to talk with you.
