The snow is very hit and miss here in the UK, it just decides each year if it really wants to snow or not, and when it does we have a complete melt-down because we don’t know how to handle snowy conditions. But if you are from a place where it snows every Winter, this post is for you! Alternatively, you could just do these activities anyway, the snow is not a necessity haha!
I’m sure it can be quite tricky entertaining family or little ones when going outside isn’t really an option unless you want to freeze to death. So I thought I’d share some ideas I have found for some snow day activities you can do at home. Lets get started!
CREATE MARSHMALLOW SNOWPEOPLE
I don’t know about you, but this sounds fun. It also sounds like such a great activity to do with kids (or adults!). Grab some jumbo marshmallows, melt some chocolate to stick them together and get decorating. With this activity most of the tools you’ll need for it you probably already have in your home too!
DO SOME BAKING
Something thats a must on a cold snowy day is baking up some treats. Theres something satisfying about being in a warm home with the smell of fresh baking whilst its cold outside. I feel like warm treats are a must when you have to stay home because of the weather, and we all deserve a treat now and then! Bake with your littles or by yourself and see what Winter treats you can come up with!
HAVE AN INDOOR PICNIC
Something I really love doing is bring the outdoor activities to inside! I think its so fun and feels kinda wrong and thats what makes it exciting! Clear our the living room and lay a blanket on the floor and set up your picnic. Have some hot drinks and sandwiches and enjoy the joys of a picnic but indoors!
SET UP A COSY MOVIE DAY
Create a movie marathon day and watch your favourite movies with blankets, snacks and hot chocolate. Watch the Harry Potter films or find a new show to binge watch on Netflix. Take the day to relax and take it easy if you can!
