SURROUND YOURSELF WITH GOOD PEOPLE
I don’t take for granted the special circle of people I have around me. They are the people I lean on when times are tough. They are the ones I turn to for advice when I don’t know who to ask. And I hope you have people like that in your life you feel you can turn to aswell.
Being surrounded by good people is important. They may not be the type of people who will tell you everything you want to hear, but thats what makes them good. Surround yourself with people who will uplift you when you cant lift up yourself. I am so thankful that I have built a community of people through my blog that if I needed them would be there for me. And I never take that for granted.

TOUGH TIMES DON’T LAST
Remember, tough times don’t last but tough people do. I really love and stand by that statement. Reminding yourself that the bad times will pass is such a reassuring thing, and its a great reminder that you’ll always come through the hard time a better and stronger person because of it.
TAKE TIME FOR YOURSELF
I often notice I start to not feel good about myself or about my situations in life when I fail to take time for myself. It could be having a long hot bath, whitening my teeth or just generally pampering myself. Some of my favourite teeth whitening products are the at home products. They’re so simple and easy to use and can be done in the comfort of your own home! Self-care is so important for our general wellbeing. I always know that my mental health isn’t good when I fail to do those things for myself.
Take some time after your long day and just focus on what you want to do. You’ll soon notice that you start to feel better when you place yourself at the very top of your priority list.

TRY SOMETHING NEW
For some, the process of feeling better could be trying something new and broadening your horizons. Alot of people begin to feel stagnant and that can be enough to make someone start to feel bad about life and themselves.
Perhaps try a new hobby and get yourself out of your comfort zone. You’ll be surprised at the greatness that can come from being uncomfortable.
I think sometimes its hard to recognise when we’re struggling as we just keep pushing through. Its important to look after ourselves and sometimes recognising the signs that we are struggling is important. Maybe not entirely what you’re referring to but right now I’m struggling with a bad migraine and tend to just push through – I think we can all do this. However this time, I decided to take time out for myself, to look after myself – not anything special but take a break from work (a few days to recover) and just taking the time to rest and relax. Mind you the workmen digging up the street outside aren’t helping, but I just put on my “happy” music collection 🙂
That definitely does apply! It can be going through a hard time or just generally being unwell with a cold or a migraine like you said. We often forget to look after ourselves when we feel sick. Sometimes we just need a reminder that its okay to take time off and recharge 🙂
