How to Use your Phone to Improve your Lifestyle

Believe it or not, your phone is one of the best tools you have if you want to improve your lifestyle. There are so many unique apps and features that you can use to try and achieve a better balance in your life, and when you use them to your advantage, you’ll see some great benefits.

This is a contributed post.

LISTEN TO A PODCAST

Phones are most distracting when you use them for short durations at a time. This could be when you are checking your notifications, or when you are scrolling through your newsfeed. If you can, if you want to work around this then you need to try and use your phone for longer activities instead. It may be that you listen to an audiobook or that you walk and listen to some music. If you don’t feel as though you have time to listen to an audiobook or podcast during the day, then simply try and listen to it when you are waiting in line, or when you’re driving in your car. If you can do this then you will soon find that it is easier for you to take your spare time, and use it as an opportunity to learn.

DOWNLOAD A MEDITATION APP

Another thing you can do if you want to use your phone for good would be for you to download a meditation app. The great thing about meditation apps is that you can use them to focus, and you can also use them to try and switch off from a busy day. There are also apps that you can download that allow you to see where your time is going. This is ideal if you feel as though the hours are passing you by, but you have no idea why. If you have a very old phone then you may not feel as though you have many apps to choose from, but you can upgrade without breaking the bank if you know where to look. You can find a refurbished iPhone 14 Pro online relatively easily, which will allow you to download almost any app you need from the app store, without limitations.

WATER REMINDERS

If you’re one of those people who seem to forget to drink water then you can download a water reminder app. This is a great way for you to drink more during the day without having to set annoying reminders. Apps allow you to track how much water you have had and how much you have to go, which can be an invaluable feature. If you want, you can even combine this with a healthy eating app. This allows you to eat better in the day, without having to count your calories manually. Some apps even come with particular food items built into the software, including certain brands. This is ideal as you can simply pick the item from the list, and then have it come up with the amount of saturated fat, salt and protein you have just eaten.

Using apps for meditation, tracking water intake and listening to podcasts can really help us stay focused and balanced. It’s all about using our phones in a way that supports our well-being rather than distracting us from it.

  2. Thank you for sharing these fantastic suggestions on how to use our phones to improve our lifestyles! It’s refreshing to think about turning our devices from sources of distraction into tools for personal growth.

I love the idea of listening to podcasts or audiobooks during those in-between moments like waiting in line or driving. It’s such a productive way to make the most of otherwise idle time and learn something new.

Downloading a meditation app is another excellent tip. I’ve found that even a few minutes of mindfulness each day can make a big difference in reducing stress and increasing focus. It’s great that you mention options for those with older phones too; refurbished devices are a budget-friendly way to access the latest apps without breaking the bank.

The water reminder app is something I hadn’t considered before, but it’s so important to stay hydrated. Combining it with a healthy eating app to track nutrition seems like a smart way to stay on top of wellness goals without getting overwhelmed.

Overall, your post offers practical and accessible ways to leverage technology for better health and well-being. Thanks again for the insightful tips—I can’t wait to try them out!
