How Attachment Styles Affect Relationships

How Attachment Styles Affect Relationships

Something I have been looking into recently are attachment styles. Now this isn’t the usual type of content I would ever post on my blog. Relationships aren’t really my niche, but as you know I tend to write things on this site that I’m dealing with in that moment. And right now I am head first in learning about attachment styles and how it can affect our adult relationships.

A Healthier Me: 12 Month Weight loss Update

A Healthier Me: 12 Month Weight loss Update

I can’t even believe I am writing my 12 month weight loss update. A whole 12 months of hard work and dedication. I can’t believe I have got to this point. I dreamt of the day that I got to write a 12 month update here on my blog. Losing weight always felt so impossible for me. I had so many things working against me, but here I am. Living proof that if I can do it, so can you. And I know its so cliche and so many people who lose weight say this, but I have made this my life. I love working out and eating good food. I can’t see my life being any other way.

How To Write When You’re Out of Ideas

How To Write When You’re Out of Ideas

The time comes for all writers where you’re fresh out of ideas and you’re suffering from the dreaded writers block. It can feel isolating and really discouraging going through this as a writer, and especially if your writing is your job and income. The pressure builds and the stress heightens and before you know it you’re in a bad mood. Running out of ideas as a blogger is something I have been going through recently. I’ve been blogging now for nearly 2 years. I’ve published 310 posts (including this one) in the last 18 months. 310 fresh new ideas…my brain is tired!

4 Things I’ve Learnt From Living By Myself

4 Things I’ve Learnt From Living By Myself

It’s not often I write about personal things on my blog, but today I thought I’d switch it up and tell you all about how I have found living by myself. For the last 26 years of my life, I have lived in the same home. The same four walls and with the same people. My siblings moved out (I am the youngest) and it was then me and my parents for a while. I always felt so comfortable living where I lived, it was home.

How To Adjust To New Seasons Of Life

How To Adjust To New Seasons Of Life

I remember the first time I heard someone use the phrase new seasons of life. And I really loved how it sounded. Whenever I go through new changes or circumstances in life, I often now refer to them as new seasons of life. And recently I went through one myself. Often they are hard to navigate, and hard to come to terms with. But ultimately they are important and needed to help us to grow as people.

3 Achievable Blogging Goals for New Bloggers

3 Achievable Blogging Goals for New Bloggers

I remember when I first started blogging, I had all of these (what I thought) were achievable blogging goals and aspirations of being the next rising blogging star. Now there is nothing wrong with having those goals when you’re a new blogger. In fact having goals and setting milestone markers is something I encourage new bloggers to do. The issue I had, was that my goals were not achievable. Not instantly anyway.

Grief & Losing a Pet

Grief & Losing a Pet

Losing a pet is probably the worst loss I have ever experienced. Before my own dogs passing, I had no idea how it felt. Any other animals I have had in my life have never passed away whilst still being in my family. The last dog I had was given to my auntie because she became too violent with us, so I didn’t know how it felt losing her. But my dog, Honey we had for 14 years. 14 wonderful years of her wagging tail and beaming brown eyes. 14 years of her love and companionship.

A Healthier Me: 10 Month Update

A Healthier Me: 10 Month Update

I cannot quite believe that my 10 month update has come around so quickly. In one way time has gone so fast and in others it has gone so slow. I started this journey back in April 2021, without any idea how long I would be going for. Looking back at pictures and videos of myself back then is almost like looking at a stranger. I have no idea who that person was. I definitely think this weight-loss and fitness journey has been the best decision I have ever made.
