Degusta Box Review February – Home Comforts

I can’t quite believe its now my 3rd month of receiving my Degusta box! I feel like as more months pass the more exciting it gets. Getting that delivery text message the day before almost makes it hard to sleep. I sometimes feel like a kid on Christmas Eve! Honestly, receiving these boxes has really made lockdown that more bearable. Its given me something that I can look forward to each month, which is few and far between at the moment.

This months box is all about home comforts – which is very fitting right now isn’t it?! Every time I open my box I always say to myself, how do they know me so well? Nearly every time I have had a box they have included something I absolutely love. I feel like Degusta know me.. they really know me! The box contains some really exciting products this month, and perfect for those long lockdown days.

4 Tips For a Good Nights Sleep

4 Tips For a Good Nights Sleep

About a month ago I really struggled to get a good nights sleep. I tossed and turned all night with thoughts racing through my mind like a Formula1 track. As a bit of a background I have never struggled with my sleep. I was that person that could lay their head down and fall asleep straight away. It’s not until I’ve been getting older and more life stresses have happened that my sleep has been affected.

Not being able to sleep is really horrible. It can really affect your mental health and your mood. It’s quite dangerous too, it can cause some really scary thoughts and ideas as you are lay awake during the early hours. I really feel for people who go through this constantly.

A Day in The Life of My Anxiety

A Day in The Life of My Anxiety

Anxiety is something I have lived with for years. Although it’s never been diagnosed by a doctor – and I for one don’t think its needs to, its still something that I struggle with almost daily. It’s not as bad as it once has been. The panic attacks are few and far between but I do still find myself suffering from intrusive thoughts and worry. I know that its something I will probably live with my whole life, and I have learnt to accept that. But knowing this doesn’t make it any easier to deal with.

3 Ways To Grow Your Blog Email List

3 Ways To Grow Your Blog Email List

Having an email list is one of the most important things you need to do if you have a blog. I didn’t realise this when I first started blogging and it wasn’t until a few months ago that I decided to create one. Having an email list means you have a number of people you can directly market to. I know you have your blog for this, but there’s something about emails that make it that little bit more personal.

My Blogging Journey – Olivia Lucie Blake

My Blogging Journey – Olivia Lucie Blake

My blogging journey has really not been anything that I ever anticipated. Although I didn’t really re-start my blog with any intention of it going anywhere like it has. My blog has become such a positive outlet for me, and like everyone else it has been a great distraction during this pandemic. Blogging has saved me in so many different ways, its given me a passion and an outlet. It’s also allowed me to help so many other people in the blogging community and helped me realise my passions in life. And I never thought blogging would ever provide me with that.

6 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

6 Things That Made Me Happy This Week

Being happy during this weird life we are all currently living is something that we should all cherish. Happiness can come in many forms, and it’s different for each of us. I am constantly reminding myself of the things I have that I should be thankful for, and doing this really helps change my perspective. I do admit though that some days are harder than others. Some days I feel really productive and others I feel like a sloth. And you know what, thats okay! Were living in a pandemic. You can be a sloth.

5 Things Nobody Tells You About Grief

5 Things Nobody Tells You About Grief

If you can relate to this post, and you have been through the stages of grief and I am right there with you. Losing someone from your life is really one of the hardest things I have ever had to go through. Grief is different for everyone, no two people go through the same process. One of the things that I never understood was that I was never prepared for the death of someone in my life. Death isn’t a subject thats taught at school, and thats for obvious reasons. But I don’t ever remember a time where death/grief was really explained to me.

Finding My Passion During a Pandemic

Finding My Passion During a Pandemic

At the start of 2020, nobody had any idea the whole year would be filled with a pandemic. So many lives lost and lives changed forever. I remember when I first heard of the Coronavirus in December/January. Luckily it was still only in China at the time when I travelled to New York for my birthday. Little did I know when I got home, that life would change forever.

There have been so many struggles during this time, and there is still is on occasion. But so many good things came out from 2020. One of them being a real re-focus in my life, and finding out what I was passionate about. If you can’t tell already, I am an optimistic person – most of the time. I see life as a glass half full and know that bad things don’t last forever. But throughout this pandemic it has become increasingly harder to stay on that thought process.

The Perfect Valentine’s Gift Ideas for 2021

The Perfect Valentine’s Gift Ideas for 2021

With Valentine’s day just around the corner I know there is this expectation in the air. what will he/she buy me? Will they like my gift? What will we have for dinner? Will everything go perfectly? I am truly so excited for those who celebrate this season.

And for those that don’t, well I am there with you. You don’t need a holiday to show that you love someone. I have a real love hate relationship with Valentine’s day. It should be called single awareness day instead. Because for the rest of the year I pay no mind to the fact I am single. But around valentines day it becomes a regular thought in my mind.

Why You Should Prioritise Your Privacy As a Blogger

Why You Should Prioritise Your Privacy As a Blogger

Protecting your privacy is something you should do regardless of whether you’re a blogger or not. Having a private life is a happy life. Nobody knows your wins, nobody knows your losses. How blissful does that sound? As bloggers we really do put ourselves out there. Some of us share personal things, health struggles, financial issues and even the family problems we face. This really opens us up to criticism and judgement from people on the internet.

I have had faced some instances in life where people have tried to find out things about me when I don’t know them. Thankfully this has never happened to me since I have started blogging. But, thats mainly because I have set those privacy boundaries that not many people can cross. You may not realise it yet, but blogging really makes you visible to the world. I mean, I share my whole name for the world to see. I show my face on my blog and Instagram. People know who I am and know my name. Thankfully thats it though and thats about as much as I let people know.
