Why I Don’t Set New Year’s Resolutions

Why I Don’t Set New Year’s Resolutions

Without fail towards the end of December, we always hear the words ‘New Year’s resolutions’ being thrown around in conversations. It’s something thats talked about alot, and I’d really love to know where and who started this mess. When I was younger my resolutions was always to lose weight and get healthy, and always without fail I’d give up after a few weeks.

Perhaps thats why I’m not a fan of them. Because every time I have tried, I have failed. So really I don’t see the point because I know I will just fail it again. Why do we love to set ourselves up for failure? Why do we wait for a new year to make changes. It’s the same as “I’ll start on Monday” , which never works. I have never really been a fan of New Years resolutions, just purely for the fact that a new year doesn’t just wipe the slate clean. If you want to make changes then do it now rather than later.

December Degusta Subscription Box Review

December Degusta Subscription Box Review

If you didn’t already know, I’m very much a snack lover, which is why I’m so happy I have got the chance to try Desgusta box this month! When the box of goodies turned up at my door I couldn’t contain my excitement. Snacks are perfect for any time of the day. Don’t want a big breakfast? Grab a snack. Feeling peck-ish in-between meals? Grab a snack! There is just something so comforting about having snacks in the house as and when you need them.

This is my first time trying a snack subscription box service before and was so pleased when I received my box full of goodies from Degusta box. The box was filled to the brim with goodies and I was pleasantly surprised to see that this months box was in partnership with Sainsbury’s. Which is good to know, because there are for some some items in there that I want to go and purchase again.

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Talking to my future self on my blog was never something I saw myself doing. And to be honest its quite out of the ordinary for me to think forward. I’m more of a let’s look at how far we have come than let’s see how far we still have to go. As I get older I’m constantly recognising things about myself I want to change and evolve.

I think it’s good to always be changing, as long as its for the better. People often get so offended when others say “You’ve changed”, but not me. I take that as a compliment. Why would I want to be the same person they knew 5 years ago? I think it’s such a privilege in life to be evolving into a better person, I don’t know about you but I don’t want to remain the same.

How to Get Brand Deals with Less Than 1k Followers

How to Get Brand Deals with Less Than 1k Followers

The biggest question that gets asked in the blogging world is how you get brand deals from blogging. And it really is the million dollar question, especially when thats something you want to do with your blog. So many people start blogging for it to be their main source of income. I commend those people, because it really is a hard to grow your blog and make money from it.There is this misconception that you have to have thousands and thousands of followers for companies and brands to want to work with you. And thats really not the case. There has been a rise in companies preferring to use nano and micro influencers.

Me, Myself & Self-doubt

Me, Myself & Self-doubt

At some point in our lives we have all experienced self-doubt. A time where we have caught ourselves saying ‘I can’t do this‘. It’s normal and natural to go through those feelings at some point in life. Self-doubt is something I have struggled with before and it happens to me periodically. Self-doubt is a feeling of lack of confidence and not feeling like you can do something. A few examples of when you might experience self doubt are when you are going for a job interview, when you meet new people or when you are starting a new hobby. Self-doubt is something that often comes with romantic relationships too.

An Open Letter to My Anxiety

An Open Letter to My Anxiety

I have suffered with anxiety for most of my adult life,. It’s something I’ve learnt to live with and I know others who suffer from it feel that way too. People who suffer with mental illnesses can seem fine and dandy on the outside but only they know what’s going on, in the inside.

I saw my friend Niraj post recently about anxiety, and it was like he was speaking to his anxiety like it was a person. I like the idea of facing it head on like its a friend or an enemy in my case. The idea seemed so good so I thought I’d take my own spin on it and write my own open letter to my anxiety.

When you first start out as a blogger there are so many blogging questions in your mind, because there is so much to learn. The Importance of Celebrating the Small Things

The Importance of Celebrating the Small Things

In life we often forget about the importance of the small things that happen in life, and just focus on the big stuff. Those big pivotal moments in life get all of the glory, but when do we actually stop and focus on the small things that happen? Those moments that we take for granted and don’t think about, where is the big celebration for them?

These moments can come in so many different variations. It could just be the fact that you woke up and showered today when you couldn’t bring yourself to do it for a week. It can be anything! In todays post I want us to focus on those small things. No matter what they are, or how stupid we might think they are. If they are important to you, they are important to us.

The Toxic Side of Social Media

The Toxic Side of Social Media

As many of you know I really love using social media for my blog. I find it so beneficial to use and have shared the positives I’ve found from using Instagram for blogging. But with most positives there comes negatives, especially where social media is concerned. I find its such a blessing and a curse. It can be used for so much good but so much bad too. There is such a fine line between the good and bad though, that sometimes you don’t even realise that the bad is there.

I’ve been lucky enough to have mainly positive experiences when it comes to social media but have had my fair share of negatives too. But I know thats not alot of peoples experiences online.

Social media can be toxic and can be bad for you if you allow it to. Remember that you are in control of what you allow into your life. There should always be a line between your personal life and what you share online.
