Do you ever find yourself in situations saying it is what it is? I find myself saying this when I get let down or if plans don’t play out like I thought they would. I mean the whole of 2020 was a big it is what it is wasn’t it? Because of the year we had in 2020 I think we all have this mentality now to some extent. We all had plans that year to do great things and see family and make memories and instead it brought loss, death, heartbreak and isolation. And it really reminded me that we really aren’t in control of our lives. We can control our now but not so much our future.Read more
Before I came back to blogging in 2020 I had no idea I could build a brand from my blog. It wasn’t even something that I had considered. I always knew blogging to be something you could do as a hobby and a place to read recipes and other fun things like that. At the time I didn’t realise that so many people make really successful businesses from it. I know that being at the stage where you make money from blogging can take a while, but I didn’t even consider it to be an option for me.Read more
Inspiration, Inspiration, Inspiration.
If you’re a blogger, writer or anything to do with creating, at some point I’m sure you have found that your inspiration levels have run low. Which has probably left you feeling frustrated, annoyed and deflated at the fact you can’t think of anything new. We have all been there and know just how that feels. Inspiration can come from so many different places, you just have to go looking in the right place.
It’s like a battle of two forces. You want to create something but you just don’t know what. There are times I go through this with writing. I actually went through just that whilst trying to think of blog content and thats how this post was created. I had writers block and had no idea what to write, so thank you writers block for helping me out for once!Read more
One thing I really dislike about society now-a-days is how it makes you feel bad. It makes you feel bad if you’re not slim enough, if you don’t earn X amount of money etc. Society makes you feel you’re not successful or you’re behind everyone else if you’re going at a different pace. Social media has a huge play in this because you constantly see everyone online buying houses, having babies and getting married. Its a natural and human thing to think, well why am I not there yet? There are so many things in life you shouldn’t feel bad about. And this post is your reminder.Read more

Mental health has always been a hot topic on the internet and generally in life. But due to the recent coronavirus pandemic it has become even more talked about, and rightly so. People are suffering even more than before, and people are finding it really difficult to get the help they need. The usual facilities or help lines are closed and people have been left jobless, even homeless with mental health problems. Yes we are currently experiencing a global pandemic of COVID, but I think we are also on the brink of a mental health pandemic too.Read more
Do you feel as though you have good body positivity? Do you love yourself and the body that you are in? I know it can be hard to answer those questions, because for me it depends what day it is. Some days I wake up feeling great, I love myself and I embrace who I am. Others I wake up feeling the total opposite. And thats totally normal.
We are living in a world where there is one type of body that is admired by the masses and one type of body that is socially acceptable. And if our bodies don’t fit that standard it can leave us feeling less worthy, or not beautiful enough. Which should not be the case at all.Read more
After such an interesting year spent indoors and a year feeling less healthier than we were, I’m almost certain that I am not the only one who gained a few pounds. If you were part of the lucky few who challenged themselves to a healthier lifestyle, good on you. Unfortunately, I cannot relate. My lockdown started off great, and then it wasn’t. I could give you every excuse about why it all went south, but that won’t help anyone. Instead, I would just like everyone who is in a similar situation to know that it’s okay. We had our slip up but now it’s time to get healthier.Read more
