Self-care is a necessary part of your daily life. It’s important to recognise when you need to take care of yourself more. Self-care isn’t about being selfish or weak; it’s about recognizing what you need to be happy and healthy. And if you’re not taking care of yourself as much as possible, it can lead to bigger problems down the road.

One way to tell if self-care might benefit you is by looking at certain signs indicating that your body needs some attention. Here are some common signs:
YOU ARE NOT SLEEPING
It’s no secret that sleep is the best way to recharge your batteries. But it’s also a great way to tell if you need self-care.
If you’re getting enough sleep and still feeling exhausted, that means there’s a deeper issue at play. For example: if you’re only sleeping five hours a night because you have to get up early and then stay up late doing work, that might mean you’re not taking care of yourself. By not being able to relax for more than an hour in the evening. Or maybe you’ve been going out every night with friends, but it’s taking away from your time with family or other loved ones—and now it’s catching up with you.
Whatever the case may be, getting enough sleep is one of the best ways to find out if something else might be off balance in your life.
YOU ARE NOT EATING RIGHT
Self-care is important, but it’s not always easy to do. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day grind. It can be hard to remember that you need to take time for yourself. But if you’re not eating right, it might be a sign that you need more self-care.
Your body is pretty good at telling you what it needs. If you’re not eating right, your body might be trying to tell you that it needs more attention and care. Which means more self-care! Paying attention to your diet, drinking more water, and adding natural and healthy ingredients such as evoo olive oil to your foods can help with self-care.
YOU HAVEN’T EXERCISED IN A WHILE
Exercising is one of the best ways to care for your body and mind. But if you’re not doing it, it could be a sign that you must practice self-care.
If you’re not exercising, it might be because you don’t have time, or because you don’t know where to start, or because you don’t know how to make health a priority. All of these are valid reasons for putting off working out—but if that’s what’s happening, it might be time to make some changes.
YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY HAVE SAID THEY ARE WORRIED ABOUT YOU
Friends and family are often the first to notice when someone is not doing well. They may be worried about you or simply want to help. If they do not know how to help, they will find it difficult to comfort you without feeling like their efforts are wasted. In some cases, friends and family might not be willing to help because of their fears or insecurities about helping others cope with depression. The best way for your friends and family members’ support system can help is by letting them know that you appreciate their support, even if it does not seem like much at first glance.
I’m not exercising and I’ve been more depressed so I decided to resign and change my life radically. Sometimes you just need to for self care.
I hope you start to feel better soon!
Yes these are all very good reasons. Great post!
Great share actually!!
I definitely agree with it
Good points for self care. But i think most important is the exercise. One wise man once told that “if you are not spending minimum 30mins a day on exercise than you don’t right to complain about your bad health”
I don’t think that quote can be applied to everybody. Alot of people have ill health aside from exercise. and some people don’t just exercise for the health benefits, they do it for their mental health.
Yep totally agree, exercise can benefit both, physical and mental health. The Idea is to keep it consistent.
Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️
I need to work on my sleep, diet and exercise. It’s a continuous struggle.
