4 Things I Do To Unwind After a Hard Day

4 Things I Do To Unwind After a Hard Day

We have all been there, walking into our houses and wanting to unwind after a hard day. Whether its school, college or work thats stressing you out I know most of us can relate to that end of day feeling. As I get older I have really started to pay attention to how important it is that I care for myself after hard days. And heck, it’s even important to care for ourselves even if it’s been an easier day too. There are so many small things we can do each day to ensure that we are looking after our minds, bodies and souls.

The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

I really dislike confrontation, but I never let that get in the way of standing up for myself when I need to. It’s taken me a while to not let anxiety and self-doubt stop me from sticking up for myself and showing others that I won’t be walked over. I see it so often. Timid people being treated poorly, or spoken to with disrespect and them not having the courage to say anything back or stand up for themselves. I guess thats where my empathy comes in. If I know someone won’t do that for themselves, I often step in if I feel the need to. Nobody is getting taking advantage of, not on my watch.

How To Help An Anxious Friend – The Do’s & Dont’s

How To Help An Anxious Friend – The Do’s & Dont’s

It’s important that when someone tells us they feel anxious or down, we do what we can to help an anxious friend. A blogging friend of mine posted that she was feeling anxious and didn’t know why or have a reason as to why. After chatting with her about struggling with content inspiration she posed this question to me and said it would be an amazing post. I absolutely loved the idea so here are my tips on how to help an anxious friend.

This post today is brought to you by Debs from Fire To The Phoenix – thanks Debs for agreeing to write and guest post on my blog today! I hope everybody loves this post as much as I do! – Olivia

It’s Taken Me 26 Years To Love Myself

It’s Taken Me 26 Years To Love Myself

I can’t actually believe that its taken me 26 years to love myself, but here I am.

As many of you know, over the last 6 months I have embarked on a new lifestyle journey. Learning to love and respect my body, mind and soul. I have been exercising and eating better so that I can become better. But not only have I been learning to love my body, but myself as a whole. Never before I have I felt such peace with myself. Everyday I learn something new about who I am and who I am becoming. I have spoken to a few people about this topic, and so many have said that they are at a point even still at 40-50 years old where they don’t love themselves. Society has such a large part to play in this. With their unreal beauty standards and expectations of how we should look and be as people.

5 Random Facts About Me

5 Random Facts About Me

I have realised that it’s been a while since I shared some random facts about me on my blog. It’s very rare that I share personal things about myself on here, and I really want to start doing it more often. Being a blogger can be hard sometimes, finding the fine line between inviting people into your life and oversharing. I am quite a private person, and only share private parts of my life with a select few. But, I want to get to know my audience (you!) better!

Todays post will be short and sweet, but hopefully a conversation starter for us all to get to know each other that little bit more!

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

How to be authentic. I was scrolling through TikTok the other night [as I do most nights] & I came across a video of someone contemplating the idea that if we look at everyone’s lives as individual story books, the characters we are portrayed in said books will look different to each person. We could be the one who got away in one story while we could be the evil villian in another. How we are perceived tends to be different than how we really are. We all wear masks. And this isn’t trying to be some metaphorical pandemic controversial statement. We’ve always been wearing masks. Before, they were just more invisible.

5 Signs It’s Time To Take a Blogging Break

5 Signs It’s Time To Take a Blogging Break

There have been many times on my blogging journey that I have felt its time to take a blogging break. And each time I feel it, I do it. If you’re an outsider looking in, you won’t know the ins and outs of what it takes to be a blogger. It’s much more than just writing and uploading. It’s about the admin that comes with it. The promotion on social media, and the building connections with brands and other bloggers. It’s really a full time job, and something I wouldn’t trade for the world. However, like any job you need time off.

What Do You Enjoy Most About Blogging?

What Do You Enjoy Most About Blogging?

What do you enjoy most about blogging? Is it the freedom to say what you want online? Being able to share your own personal stories or work? What is it about blogging that keeps you coming back? I have always wondered what motives people have behind wanting to blog. For me, it was something to do during the height of the pandemic. I needed a focus and something to fill my time. I wasn’t going out anywhere, or seeing friends or family. So being able to connect and create a space on the internet was something I really enjoyed about starting my blog.

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome as a Blogger

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome as a Blogger

Whether you realise it or not, at some point you will have suffered from imposter syndrome as a blogger. It might not have been obvious at the time, but I bet when you read this post you’ll be thinking “wow, this is me.’ Impostor syndrome is something I didn’t even know about myself until a few months ago. And after some research, I came to realise its quite common in various different aspects of life.

There have been countless times I have told myself I can’t do something, or I’m not good enough. Which we know is not true and is just a feeling. But having these feelings can really get in the way of success and us growing as people and bloggers.
