The Future of Blogging

The Future of Blogging

Blogging is something that changes all of the time. Even when I started blogging again back in July 2020, I have noticed such a change from then to now. I hear conversations on a regular basis on whether or not blogging is going to grow in popularity, or plummet. All because people are now seeking quick and snappy content like Tik Tok and Instagram reels.

It’s and interesting conversation to have, which is why you’re reading this post. I want to hear your thoughts on what you think the future of blogging will look like.

5 Lessons I’ve Learnt In The Last 2 Years of Blogging

5 Lessons I’ve Learnt In The Last 2 Years of Blogging

The last 2 years of blogging have been the fastest 2 years of my life. When I first started this blog during the pandemic, I had no idea it would become such a large part of my everyday life. Some wouldn’t see 2 years of blogging as such a big achievement, but I think back to when I first started. All of the trials and lessons I learnt as a new blogger, I can see how far I have come and that alone is such a big accomplishment for me.

My 5 Top Tips To Make Your Blog Successful

My 5 Top Tips To Make Your Blog Successful

There are so many factors that come into play when you are wanting to make your blog successful. And honestly, some strategies work for others and might not work for you. I get emails regularly with people wanting the secret to growing their blogs. Let me just say, there is no secret. Other than hard work and getting things done. There is no work around to success. Alot of the most successful people and bloggers in the world, got there because they worked their butts off. It’s kind of insulting when people ask what the secret is. It diminishes the hard work you have put in to make something work.

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

How to be authentic. I was scrolling through TikTok the other night [as I do most nights] & I came across a video of someone contemplating the idea that if we look at everyone’s lives as individual story books, the characters we are portrayed in said books will look different to each person. We could be the one who got away in one story while we could be the evil villian in another. How we are perceived tends to be different than how we really are. We all wear masks. And this isn’t trying to be some metaphorical pandemic controversial statement. We’ve always been wearing masks. Before, they were just more invisible.

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome as a Blogger

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome as a Blogger

Whether you realise it or not, at some point you will have suffered from imposter syndrome as a blogger. It might not have been obvious at the time, but I bet when you read this post you’ll be thinking “wow, this is me.’ Impostor syndrome is something I didn’t even know about myself until a few months ago. And after some research, I came to realise its quite common in various different aspects of life.

There have been countless times I have told myself I can’t do something, or I’m not good enough. Which we know is not true and is just a feeling. But having these feelings can really get in the way of success and us growing as people and bloggers.

The Best Way to Bulk Write Your Blog Content

The Best Way to Bulk Write Your Blog Content

When I first started blogging I had no idea what it was to bulk write content. I tended to just write as I went and even sometimes write my posts on the day before posting. Bulk writing was something I looked into months down the line and its the strategy and way I have been creating content for my blog for months now. As bloggers I feel like we are pressed for time alot. We have another things to do on our lists. And actually writing only equates to about 30% of what we do behind the scenes. Writing obviously plays a big part in our websites, but time is usually not on our side. I don’t have time to sit and write posts every single day, especially as I work full time around my blog.

Why You Should Prioritise Your Privacy As a Blogger

Why You Should Prioritise Your Privacy As a Blogger

Protecting your privacy is something you should do regardless of whether you’re a blogger or not. Having a private life is a happy life. Nobody knows your wins, nobody knows your losses. How blissful does that sound? As bloggers we really do put ourselves out there. Some of us share personal things, health struggles, financial issues and even the family problems we face. This really opens us up to criticism and judgement from people on the internet.

I have had faced some instances in life where people have tried to find out things about me when I don’t know them. Thankfully this has never happened to me since I have started blogging. But, thats mainly because I have set those privacy boundaries that not many people can cross. You may not realise it yet, but blogging really makes you visible to the world. I mean, I share my whole name for the world to see. I show my face on my blog and Instagram. People know who I am and know my name. Thankfully thats it though and thats about as much as I let people know.

How Blogging Saved Me

How Blogging Saved Me

Blogging saved me, in so many ways. You can probably relate to what I’m about to write as I know alot of other bloggers feel the same. It gave me a sense of purpose and provided me with a life long hobby. It has connected me with new amazing people that I never would have met. It’s given me countless opportunities to spread love and good into this dark world. I am so thankful for that.

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Dear Future Self, I Hope You’re Well

Talking to my future self on my blog was never something I saw myself doing. And to be honest its quite out of the ordinary for me to think forward. I’m more of a let’s look at how far we have come than let’s see how far we still have to go. As I get older I’m constantly recognising things about myself I want to change and evolve.

I think it’s good to always be changing, as long as its for the better. People often get so offended when others say “You’ve changed”, but not me. I take that as a compliment. Why would I want to be the same person they knew 5 years ago? I think it’s such a privilege in life to be evolving into a better person, I don’t know about you but I don’t want to remain the same.
