I regularly speak on the types of people you should surround yourself with and how it has such an impact on who you are as a person. I saw something on Facebook not to long ago, and it wasn’t even when I was seeking blogging inspiration. A lesson here to be had that inspiration can come at the most random moments. As I was saying, I saw a post that listed 5 types of people you should surround yourself with and I was like, this would be a perfect blog topic. So here we are.
I whole heartedly believe that those you surround yourself with have such an impact on who you are and who you will become. The right people will support you through your good days, your bad days, your anxiety, your depression, the days where you don’t want to do anything.
Inspiring people make you inspired. It’s like it rubs off on you. Surrounding yourself with people who are amazing and inspiring is one of the best things you can do. They encourage you to do better because they make you believe in you.
I know it can be annoying sometimes to have that overly motivated friend that is always doing something, but let it be a lesson for you. Use their motivation to motivate yourself. I feel like motivation has a ripple effect, you seeing someone else motivate usually makes you want to become motivated and then you might motivate others too!
Surround yourself with those that love deeply, and love them deeply back. We can learn so much from being around those people who love without limits. Having people there for you no matter what and love you no matter what is something we often take for granted. See how people love you can help you to love yourself.
How amazing is it being surrounded by passionate people? Even if your passions differ, there is something so addicting being around people who are passionate about what they do.
To be me this is one trait that I find the most important. I love people who have grateful hearts. And that doesn’t mean they have an abundance of material things. A-lot of the time, people who are grateful don’t have much in terms of ‘things’ but instead they are grateful for things we cannot see. Such as love, family, health, internal peace, self love. Let’s learn to be grateful for those things and grateful for the grateful friends.
What I have learnt from writing this post is that all of these types of people can have a real impact on us. They can influence us to become better people, more loving people, more grateful people. You should surround yourself with people who encourage you and want you to become a better version of yourself. Don’t allow people to bring you down, they wouldn’t do that if they really loved you and cared for you.
You deserve people in your life that hit all 5 of these things and more. You deserve to be loved whole heartedly and nothing less. Don’t ever forget that.
