The Positives of Failing

The Positives of Failing

Did you know there are positives in failing? I didn’t realise this until I failed something quite important to me. I needed to pass, but God said no, it’s not time yet. You need to learn what it feels like to fail. We all go through times in our lives when we pass or fail various things in life. Whether it’s a job interview, an important test at school or some training you’re doing. I realise that failing is generally seen as a negative thing, but going through my failure has shown me there can be positives too. Sometimes failing can stop you from going down the wrong path and making the wrong choices. It can be such a great learning curve for us too.

10 Ways To Appreciate Others More

10 Ways To Appreciate Others More

I don’t know about you, but this year especially I have come to appreciate the people I have around me. With everything happening with the pandemic, it has reminded me that life is fragile and can be taken away at any moment. There is still so much turmoil and hate in the world, and I don’t think there will ever be a time where we are all unified as one race. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t things we can do to show our love and appreciation for others.

Showing love to others doesn’t need to be big and elaborate, it can be a small act of kindness or a small gesture in some way to brighten someones day. In todays post we’ll go through some ways you can show those around you that you appreciate them. Depending on your own love language, you might already do some of these things. But I thought it would be a good idea to spread some love and positivity into the world today, because boy do we need it.

How to Cope With Online Negativity

How to Cope With Online Negativity

Online negativity is something we will all go through if we find ourselves on the internet for long enough. Naturally, with positive things there are always negatives. We can’t always expect things to be peachy all of the time. There are mean, nasty and negative people out there who want to cause you distress and make you unhappy and thats the reality of life.

Thankfully, I’ve only ever encountered a handful of mean people online. I know this isn’t the experience alot of people have and for that I am thankful.

What Makes You Feel Beautiful?

What Makes You Feel Beautiful?

To Feel beautiful is hands down one of the best feelings in the world, am I right?

There is something so uplifting about feeling confident in who you are and what you are. It’s deeper than outward appearance. Feeling beautiful is more than just what we look like, it’s about who we are as people. Society deems only one type of person beautiful, and thats the people you see on the front of magazine covers and on adverts. But let’s face it, the average person doesn’t look like that. And its easy for us to feel self doubt or insecurities, but that doesn’t mean we are less beautiful than they are.

It is What It is

It is What It is

Do you ever find yourself in situations saying it is what it is? I find myself saying this when I get let down or if plans don’t play out like I thought they would. I mean the whole of 2020 was a big it is what it is wasn’t it? Because of the year we had in 2020 I think we all have this mentality now to some extent. We all had plans that year to do great things and see family and make memories and instead it brought loss, death, heartbreak and isolation. And it really reminded me that we really aren’t in control of our lives. We can control our now but not so much our future.

Let’s Talk about Mental Health

Let’s Talk about Mental Health

Mental health has always been a hot topic on the internet and generally in life. But due to the recent coronavirus pandemic it has become even more talked about, and rightly so. People are suffering even more than before, and people are finding it really difficult to get the help they need. The usual facilities or help lines are closed and people have been left jobless, even homeless with mental health problems. Yes we are currently experiencing a global pandemic of COVID, but I think we are also on the brink of a mental health pandemic too.

15 Christmas Acts of Kindness Ideas

15 Christmas Acts of Kindness Ideas

As it’s the season of love and giving, I thought it was only right to include a random acts of kindness post for the Holiday season. I believe we should be good, kind people all year round but I know there are a-lot of people who need extra love and support this time of year.
The holiday season can be a really tough time for some people who may not have loved ones to spend it with, or they might not be able to financially afford to celebrate Christmas.

I think the real meaning of Christmas has been forgotten by society, and we need to be reminded what the real reason we celebrate is for. it should be about the gifts and who has a more expensive gift than someone else. It’s about Jesus, family and spreading joy. And thats why I decided to do this post and I hope you will be able to check some of these acts of kindness from this list this year.

The Real Cost of Running a Blog

The Real Cost of Running a Blog

Running a blog comes at a cost, whether thats financial, physical or mental. There is a cost. It’s alot of work, and I don’t think alot of people realise how hard it can be. When you run a blog alot of things go through your mind. I’m sure many other bloggers can relate to this. I have so many drafted posts that I’ve never published because I think they’re not good enough. I’ve trashed perfectly fine posts too because I felt like my audience won’t enjoy them. Sometimes it’s a battle with self, and nothing more.

It takes alot of courage to start a blog, and there are many people out there who hide this from their friends and families because they worry about their reactions. I thought today we could talk about the real cost of running a blog, and everything that comes with it. The good, the bad and the ugly. In hopes that this will give my readers a-bit of an open door into the reality of blogging.
