Feeling Like You’re At a Standstill In Life

Feeling Like You’re At a Standstill In Life

I know I can’t be alone in feeling sometimes like I’m at a standstill in life. There have been several times in my twenties that I have felt like that. I think honestly, alot of it is to do with comparison. Comparing where you are in life to where others are. And I am not about that life anymore. I don’t want to compare myself to others journeys. Life is not a race, and I have to constantly remind myself of that. Waiting and feeling like you’re at a standstill in life can be really hard. I have been there, and I am there.

Whether its school, college or work thats stressing you out I know most of us can relate to that end of day feeling. As I get older I have really started to pay attention to how important it is that I care for myself after hard days. The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

I really dislike confrontation, but I never let that get in the way of standing up for myself when I need to. It’s taken me a while to not let anxiety and self-doubt stop me from sticking up for myself and showing others that I won’t be walked over. I see it so often. Timid people being treated poorly, or spoken to with disrespect and them not having the courage to say anything back or stand up for themselves. I guess thats where my empathy comes in. If I know someone won’t do that for themselves, I often step in if I feel the need to. Nobody is getting taking advantage of, not on my watch.

5 Random Facts About Me

5 Random Facts About Me

I have realised that it’s been a while since I shared some random facts about me on my blog. It’s very rare that I share personal things about myself on here, and I really want to start doing it more often. Being a blogger can be hard sometimes, finding the fine line between inviting people into your life and oversharing. I am quite a private person, and only share private parts of my life with a select few. But, I want to get to know my audience (you!) better!

Todays post will be short and sweet, but hopefully a conversation starter for us all to get to know each other that little bit more!

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

We All Wear Masks – How To Be Authentic

How to be authentic. I was scrolling through TikTok the other night [as I do most nights] & I came across a video of someone contemplating the idea that if we look at everyone’s lives as individual story books, the characters we are portrayed in said books will look different to each person. We could be the one who got away in one story while we could be the evil villian in another. How we are perceived tends to be different than how we really are. We all wear masks. And this isn’t trying to be some metaphorical pandemic controversial statement. We’ve always been wearing masks. Before, they were just more invisible.

How to Effectively Manage Your Finances

How to Effectively Manage Your Finances

From a very young age, it’s so important that you learn how to manage your finances. Having money is a really big responsibility. It’s sad that alot of parents and schools fail to provide young people with the knowledge they need to learn how to properly manage their finances. It’s obviously not something you have to worry about as a young adult, but as soon as you get a job you need to know how to do it.

How The Pandemic Has Changed Me

How The Pandemic Has Changed Me

I think most of us can agree, that alot has changed in the last year. Not only have our lives been flipped upside down, but I am sure many of us have deal with grief, depression and anxiety and so many other things. The last year has been such a struggle in many ways. Being isolated from our loved ones and having our daily routines thrown away. Having to adjust to our new normal has been a challenge.

10 Pieces of Life Advice From 10 Different Bloggers

10 Pieces of Life Advice From 10 Different Bloggers

Growing up and even now, I really appreciate life advice. Somebody taking time away from their lives, to share their wisdom with me is so special. Often times I have long, in depth conversations with friends about things we have experienced in life and how we learnt from each individual experience. Learning about others mistakes, and others accomplishments really helps to pave a path for us. Never under estimate the importance of sharing and gaining knowledge from other people. We like to think we can do things alone, but thats not really true.

My Top 3 Tips For Buying Your First Home

My Top 3 Tips For Buying Your First Home

Something I have yet talk about on my blog is the exciting new adventure I’m on, of starting the process to buying my first home. I have gone back and forth about the idea of being a home owner alot over the last few months. But with the current state of the renting market, it makes way more sense to buy instead of rent. Covid has had such an impact on real estate, its really crazy how high the prices are at the moment.
