Blogging Q&A: Questions I Get Asked A lot

Blogging Q&A: Questions I Get Asked A lot

I haven’t done a blogging Q&A for the longest time. I really enjoy doing them as a way to answer some questions and share some tips and tricks about life and blogging. The last time I did one of these I was a much less experienced blogger. Which is why I asked my friends on Twitter to submit some questions to me for this post. If you don’t follow me there yet, please do! I’m active on there everyday and Twitter has the best little blogging community. I asked for questions about everything and anything. So be prepared to hear about me, my life and blogging too!

Why Bloggers Should Share The Real Parts of Life

Why Bloggers Should Share The Real Parts of Life

Sharing the real parts of life as a blogger is so important for many reasons. Bloggers as well as social media influencers are well known for showing the good parts of their online lives. Showing the days they look good, and the wins of life. When in reality their (our) lives are not all rainbows and sunshine. Social media has had such a big part to play in making people feel like their lives are inferior. That they should be doing more and working harder. That we should be prettier and more aesthetically pleasing at all times. This is a big fat lie.

10 Things I’ve Learnt From Dating Myself

10 Things I’ve Learnt From Dating Myself

I recently started dating myself, and honestly she’s the best person I have ever met. Self-dating is something that I have started doing fairly recently. Probably in the last couple of months. I suffer with anxiety, and I struggled for a long time being able to go out by myself. It can make you insecure. Wondering if people are looking at you, or making fun of the fact you’re alone somewhere. But actually, it was quite the opposite experience. I told myself that I never notice or pay attention to those out alone. So why would I be any different?

The Positives of Failing

The Positives of Failing

Did you know there are positives in failing? I didn’t realise this until I failed something quite important to me. I needed to pass, but God said no, it’s not time yet. You need to learn what it feels like to fail. We all go through times in our lives when we pass or fail various things in life. Whether it’s a job interview, an important test at school or some training you’re doing. I realise that failing is generally seen as a negative thing, but going through my failure has shown me there can be positives too. Sometimes failing can stop you from going down the wrong path and making the wrong choices. It can be such a great learning curve for us too.

Feeling Like You’re At a Standstill In Life

Feeling Like You’re At a Standstill In Life

I know I can’t be alone in feeling sometimes like I’m at a standstill in life. There have been several times in my twenties that I have felt like that. I think honestly, alot of it is to do with comparison. Comparing where you are in life to where others are. And I am not about that life anymore. I don’t want to compare myself to others journeys. Life is not a race, and I have to constantly remind myself of that. Waiting and feeling like you’re at a standstill in life can be really hard. I have been there, and I am there.

Why Happiness Is Not My Goal

Why Happiness Is Not My Goal

You probably clicked on this post, confused as to why the title says that happiness is not my goal. And no it’s not clickbait. Over the last few months, I have really been doing some soul searching. To discover not only who I am in life and my purpose. But also my why. Why was I placed here on this earth? Why am I in the place I am right now? And honestly, I am trying to still discover my why. But one thing I know for sure, is that my main goal in life is not to be happy.

The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

The Importance of Standing Up For Yourself

I really dislike confrontation, but I never let that get in the way of standing up for myself when I need to. It’s taken me a while to not let anxiety and self-doubt stop me from sticking up for myself and showing others that I won’t be walked over. I see it so often. Timid people being treated poorly, or spoken to with disrespect and them not having the courage to say anything back or stand up for themselves. I guess thats where my empathy comes in. If I know someone won’t do that for themselves, I often step in if I feel the need to. Nobody is getting taking advantage of, not on my watch.
